The RScript PICC Characterization Test Suite (CATS) with ProxiLAB and the Raisonance test bench allows users to obtain a complete profile of the physical performance characteristics of a PICC. By allowing users to execute a complete range of physical, functional and logical performance tests like those which are required for certification of components used in contactless smart cards and epassports, RScript PICC CATS provides reporting on a complete range of performance characteristics including:
- Alternating magnetic field strength
- Hmin measure
- PICC load modulation amplitude
- PICC reception
- ISO standard and ICAO polling
- Frame delay and format
- Operating field strength
- Communication stability
- Frame delay (type A)
- Timing (SOF, EOF, TR0, TR1, TR2, Subcarrier turn-off, Extra guard)
While these tests are conform with relevant ISO 10373-6 and ICAO standards, the objective of RScript PICC CATS is to provide a complete picture of component performance with in and beyond the scope of certification standards.
From this complete battery of tests, users can then create and organize their own internal test campaigns in order to maintain device profiles, track evolutions in performance, evaluate design modifications or changes in component manufacturing and processes.
