RScript

Automate Test and Characterization of Smart Cards, Readers and Mobile Phones

RScript PICC CATS Test SuiteUsing scripts to control Raisonance smart card test platforms is the ideal way to coordinate their emulation and analysis features to enhance testing precision, automation, repeatability and reproducibility. Raisonance RScript provides you complete and ergonomic interface that will help you:

  • Implement Raisonance sample scripts into functional tests
  • Edit and debug scripts before test execution
  • Manage test scripts in complete, automated test campaigns that correspond to your specific requirements

Users can also benefit from complete characterization test suites from Raisonance, such as the RSCript PICC CATS. Characterization test suites draw on international test standards such as ISO 10373-6, and ICAO to provide a foundation of pysical and functional tests that give a complete profile of a components performance. Characterization tests are not limited to a specific standard, but provide an assessment of component performance within and beyond the scope of today's standards. Users are then free to copy, modify and reuse scripts in test campaigns that serve their specific development and verification requirements.

Technology Hightlights

ProxiLAB3 Tests Future 10 Mbps Protocols

ProxiLAB3

The race has been on to implement future protocols capable of data rates of up to 10 Mbps, nearly 12 times faster that current 13.56 MHz protocols at 848 Kbps. Thanks to an early start in research projects for a very high data rate protocol, the Raisonance ProxiLAB3 contactless signal emulator can provide emulation of both of the proposed Very High Bit Rate (VHBR) technologies for contactless smart cards: the phase modulated solution, PSK, proposed by NXP and CEA Leti and the amplitude modulated solution, ASK, proposed by Infineon and Inside Secure.

Raisonance will present on Monday, 28th March, research results on ASK and PSK topics to the Internal Standardization Organization (ISO). A demonstration will also done by NXP with ProxiLAB3 and their contactless smart card prototype at 6.8Mbps in PSK mode.

ProxiLAB3 can be upgraded with a VHBR firmware upgrade allowing current ProxiLAB users to get their early start on development of components implementing either of the proposed technologies.

As the protocol implementations evolve and test standards become available, Raisonance ProxiLAB3 users benefit from support and updates that will ensure that they are ready to field the 10 Mpbs technologies of the future.
