Contactless Smart Card Conformity Testing and Certification

ProxiLAB3 provides fully configurable PCD (reader) signal emulation for testing contactless smart cards that use 13.56 Mhz signalling protocols.

This includes, as options, the choice to emulate signals using:

• ISO 14443 (A, B) protocols 
  (digital-level control only)
• NFC, FeliCa or ISO 15693 protocols 
  (digital-level control only)
• Any of the above protocols with full 
  Analog-level control of signal parameters

Providing features as options allows ProxiLAB3 users to have a tool configured for their current test requirements. However, ProxiLAB3 is easily adapted to meet a user's future test requirements by simply buying the desired functional licenses.

For smart card testing in accordance with ISO 10373 and ICAO standards, ProxiLAB3 is used with Raisonance High-Speed Test PCD Assembly and Low-Speed Test PCD Assembly that conform to these international test standards. These tools are also used in combination as part of the Raisonance ISO 10373 / ICAO compliant test bench and Analog Test Series.

What to Order for Contactless Smart Card Testing

For testing contactless smart cards, the user should order the ProxiLAB3 hardware (Order code: SC-ProxiLAB-HW) with the appropriate PCD signal emulation capabilities:

• SC-ProxiLAB-PCDAB: PCD signal emulation for ISO 14443 A, B
• SC-ProxiLAB-PCD-NFC: PCD signal emulation for NFC, FeliCa, ISO 15693
• SC-ProxiLAB-PCD-ANA: PCD signal emulation with analog-level control of signal parameters
