Designed in collaboration with industry leaders, ContactLAB embeds the technology required for full test and certification of pertinent interfaces including contact Single Wire Protocol (SWP), Host Controller Interface (HCI), High level Data Link Controller (HDLC). Synchronized with ProxiLAB for test of the RF interface protocols such as ISO 14443, this platform provides off-the-shelf test capaibility for certifying CLF implementation in accordance with ISO and ETSI standards.
ContactLAB plays the role of the Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC or commonly called "SIM") when testing the ContactLess Front end (CLF) of the mobile handset. With the tool's UICC SWP emulation option, it integrates the capabilities for testing the SWP interface - including the the HCI and HDLC layers.
ProxiLAB plays the role of the external NFC device (reader, card, tag, phone, ...) when testing the CLF of the mobile handset. It gives the user full control of all signal parameters for testing the RF interface using protocols such as ISO 14443 (A, B).
Both tools allow full control of all signal parameters for testing within the complete scope of the relevant specification. They also allow adjustment of signal parameters outside of the scope of the protocol specification. This makes if possible to identify conditions or situations where the CLF responses when it should not.
Both tools are controlled via scripts or the RGPA software interface. Script control is fully documented and samples are provided for a wide range of common tasks. Control is easily integrated into any testing software.
Tools can be precisely synchronized for concurrent testing of both the contact and contactless interfaces of the CLF.
